CPSU FIT-OUT
STAR Architecture were the designers for Amicus Interiors’ new 960m2 fit-out for the Community and Public Sector Union’s Melbourne office.
CPSU’s accommodation needs included open plan work areas, single offices, quiet rooms, a 50-person training facility, meeting rooms, a large boardroom and kitchen / breakout zone.
Working within a tight time frame and budget, we focussed on maximising natural light and views to as much of the floor plate as possible; and used the colour green as an organic highlight within an otherwise calm and neutral material palette. The kitchen and breakout space was located on the most prominent corner of the building overlooking Queen Victoria Markets, providing a comfortable and stimulating environment for staff to relax and collaborate.
